October Poetry Challenge: Day Thirteen

Hunger: Lack Thereof

As I sit with pen and paper
Pouring over cookbooks and blogs
Searching for the most nutritious, delicious sustenance
A weekly ritual I mostly abhor

It hits me with convicting surety
This is one of the biggest blessings I take for granted
And I’m so grateful
For the hassle of planning what to eat
Out of an abundance of available food and funds

I’d love to see the efforts of your poem in the comments below! I understand that these are first drafts and I hope you offer my humble words the same grace!
Remember, Keep Showing Up!

See you tomorrow for Day Fourteen!
